As regi\u00f5es Norte (846%) e Nordeste (218%) foram as que mais perderam alunos.<\/p>\n<p>Na varia\u00e7\u00e3o de 2019 e 2020, o resultado \u00e9 negativo (-51%). Contudo, \u00e9 preciso considerar a dificuldade do Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais (Inep) para identificar o abandono j\u00e1 que as aulas passaram a ser remotas durante a pandemia de Covid-19. A subnotifica\u00e7\u00e3o de casos, no entanto, foi revelada em 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tabela 1. Os dados foram obtidos no Censo Escolar e \u00a0Lei de Acesso \u00e0 Informa\u00e7\u00e3o e analisados de acordo com a regi\u00e3o do Brasil, divididos por sexo em cada unidade da federa\u00e7\u00e3o. (<em>Veja outras tabelas abaixo.<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUm dos mais perversos efeitos das desigualdades, especialmente de ra\u00e7a e etnia, \u00e9 a desist\u00eancia ou a expuls\u00e3o de crian\u00e7as e adolescentes da escola antes da conclus\u00e3o da educa\u00e7\u00e3o b\u00e1sica, efeito que ficou mais expl\u00edcito na pandemia de Covid-19\u201d, resume Thallita de Oliveira, assessora pol\u00edtica do Inesc.<\/p>\n<p>No Sudeste, o n\u00famero de estudantes em situa\u00e7\u00e3o de abandono escolar em 2021 foi de 89.809, o que representa um aumento de aproximadamente 38% em rela\u00e7\u00e3o a 2020. O Sul tamb\u00e9m registrou crescimento, passando de 42.312 casos em 2020 para 55.492 em 2021. J\u00e1 na Regi\u00e3o Centro-Oeste, o abandono escolar em 2021 foi de 13.663, o que corresponde a um aumento de aproximadamente 108% em rela\u00e7\u00e3o a 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUma quest\u00e3o que precisa ser analisada pelo Minist\u00e9rio da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 se o abandono foi maior nos locais onde, durante a pandemia, n\u00e3o se havia adequado acesso \u00e0 internet e equipamentos necess\u00e1rios para o acompanhamento das aulas, pois a aus\u00eancia de condi\u00e7\u00f5es m\u00ednimas pode ter levado adolescentes a desistir da escola\u201d, diz a Nota T\u00e9cnica.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estados \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>O estudo tamb\u00e9m apresenta os n\u00fameros de cada Estado na incid\u00eancia de abandono escolar no Ensino M\u00e9dio. Somadas as perdas nos tr\u00eas anos avaliados, o ranking da desist\u00eancia \u00e9 liderado por Minas Gerais (110 mil alunos), Bahia (106 mil) e Par\u00e1 (97 mil).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Tabela 2. g\u00eanero, as meninas foram as que mais abandonaram a escola, em quase todos os Estados. \u201cDurante a pandemia, a vida escolar das meninas foi mais prejudicada pelo excesso de obriga\u00e7\u00f5es dom\u00e9sticas e de trabalho fora de casa, al\u00e9m das prec\u00e1rias condi\u00e7\u00f5es de sa\u00fade mental a que muitas estavam submetidas\u201d, observa a Nota T\u00e9cnica. \u201cEssa percep\u00e7\u00e3o j\u00e1 havia aparecido em pesquisa realizada em 2021 pelo Inesc, em parceria com Instituto Vox Populi\u201d, acrescenta o Inesc.<\/p>\n<p>A Nota T\u00e9cnica aponta o trabalho infantil como uma das causas principais do abandono escolar. O estudo cita a pesquisa quantitativa intitulada \u201cEduca\u00e7\u00e3o Brasileira em 2022: A voz de adolescentes\u201d, realizada pelo Unicef, em parceria com o Ipec (Intelig\u00eancia em Pesquisa e Consultoria Estrat\u00e9gica), revelando que:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fnpeti.org.br\/cenario\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-ajax=\"false\">A maioria dos adolescentes em situa\u00e7\u00e3o de trabalho infantil \u00e9 composta por meninos negros<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Outros motivos para o abandono e evas\u00e3o escolar seriam: \u201cporque a escola n\u00e3o tinha retomado as atividades presenciais\u201d; \u201cpor n\u00e3o conseguir acompanhar as explica\u00e7\u00f5es ou atividades passadas pelos professores\u201d; \u201cpor ter que cuidar de outros familiares em casa\u201d; \u201cpor falta de transporte para ir at\u00e9 a escola\u201d; \u201cpor ter ficado gr\u00e1vida ou ter tido um filho ou uma filha\u201d; \u201cpor ter sido alvo de preconceito ou
