Depois de sucessivas vota\u00e7\u00f5es inconclusivas, os candidatos Paul Kuruk, do Gana, e Olufemi Elias, da Nig\u00e9ria, retiraram as respectivas candidaturas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Na derradeira ronda, Phoebe Okowa enfrentou o candidato da Serra Leoa, Charles Jalloh, obtendo 106 votos contra 79 na Assembleia Geral. No Conselho de Seguran\u00e7a, venceu por uma margem de oito votos contra sete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"447\" height=\"447\" src=\"https:\/\/feminismo.org.br\/ULFA\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Phoebe-Okowa.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4087\" srcset=\"https:\/\/feminismo.org.br\/ULFA\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Phoebe-Okowa.jpg 447w, https:\/\/feminismo.org.br\/ULFA\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Phoebe-Okowa-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/feminismo.org.br\/ULFA\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Phoebe-Okowa-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/feminismo.org.br\/ULFA\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Phoebe-Okowa-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 447px) 100vw, 447px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A presidente da Assembleia Geral das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas, Annalena Baerbock, anunciou oficialmente a elei\u00e7\u00e3o de Okowa, confirmando que a candidata queniana alcan\u00e7ou a maioria absoluta exigida em ambos os \u00f3rg\u00e3os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Phoebe Okowa sucede ao juiz Abdulqawi A. Yusuf, que renunciou ao cargo em Setembro de 2025.
